Who we are

AiLinkedMe is an independent product run from Ireland. It is a Chrome extension that drafts LinkedIn comments and connection request notes for you to review and send yourself, plus this website, where you can read about it and optionally create a free account. The operator of AiLinkedMe is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at ailinkedme@gmail.com. AiLinkedMe is not affiliated with LinkedIn.

What the extension reads and sends

When you ask for a draft: the extension sends the text of the LinkedIn post or profile you are looking at, any context you typed, and (only if you switched on Refer My Bio) the bio you saved, to our server at ailinkedme.com. Our server passes that text to an AI provider, which returns the draft. The post or profile text is used only to produce that draft. It is not written to our database and is not used to train any model by us.

At no other time: the extension does not read your LinkedIn feed in the background, does not read your messages, and only acts on the page when you click one of its controls.

Nothing is sent on your behalf: the extension places the draft in the LinkedIn comment box or connection note for you to edit. It never clicks Post or Send.

What stays in your browser

Your saved name and bio, the recipient first names used for connection drafts, your draft preferences, the panel position and the local usage counters are kept in Chrome extension storage on your computer. They stay there until you clear them or remove the extension. We do not receive them except as part of a draft request you make.

Your account, if you create one

An account is optional. If you create one, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores your email address, your name if you give it, a hashed password or the fact that you signed in with Google, and the dates you signed up and last signed in. Our database also keeps a profile record with your plan (free) and a usage ledger. We use this to sign you in, to show your dashboard and to keep the service working. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address and nothing else.

Signing in sets one cookie on ailinkedme.com, named session, so the extension can recognise your account. It lasts 30 days or until you sign out. Your sign-in token is also kept in your browser's local storage by the Supabase client. We set no other cookies.

Contact form and emails

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message, delivered to our inbox by Resend, and we use them only to reply to you. If you create an account, we send one welcome email through Resend. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies apart from the session cookie described above. The extension runs no analytics either.

Payments

AiLinkedMe is free. We take no payments through this website or the extension, and no card details are collected. The code contains groundwork for Stripe and Razorpay payments that is switched off; no payment data flows through it.

Who processes your information

We use these service providers, each under its own terms: Vercel hosts this website and the server the extension talks to; Supabase provides sign-in and the database; Resend sends our emails; Groq generates the drafts, with Cerebras and Google Gemini as fallback AI providers if we switch them on. Google also provides the Chrome Web Store and optional Google sign-in. Most of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States, so your information may be processed outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards each provider offers, such as the EU standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Why we are allowed to use it (lawful bases)

Producing a draft you asked for, running your account and answering your messages is performance of our agreement with you. Keeping the service secure and limiting abuse of our endpoints is our legitimate interest. Where your information reaches a provider outside the EEA, that provider's safeguards apply.

How long we keep it

Draft requests are processed and discarded; the text is not stored by us. Account records are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Contact messages stay in our inbox while we deal with them and while they remain useful. Hosting and error logs at Vercel are kept for the short period Vercel sets, and they do not contain the text of your drafts.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and take your account data with you. To do any of these, email ailinkedme@gmail.com from the address on your account. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland at dataprotection.ie, or to your local supervisory authority.

Chrome Web Store limited use

Our use of information received from Google APIs and from the Chrome extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The extension reads LinkedIn page content only when you use a feature that needs it, and that content is used only to provide that feature.
